We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide direct support to our clients with diverse abilities. The ideal candidates will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist or ensure with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support the individual in meal preparation, eating, and maintaining proper nutrition.
- Engage in recreational activities and community outings to promote socialization and inclusion.
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments, School, outings, and errands.
- Assist with medication management and healthcare appointments as needed.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment while respecting the individual's privacy and dignity.
- Collaborate with the individual's support team to implement personalized care plans and goals.
- Document and report any significant changes, incidents, or observations to the appropriate supervisors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications.
Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, or related fields is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals of diverse abilities.
Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations.
Understanding of person-centered care and commitment to promoting independence and self-determination.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required.
